Job Description

Fusion Splicer Sales Manager – Business Development and U.S. East We currently seek a Sales Manager who will join our North American Region (NAR) sales organization. This position will primarily be responsible for business development and outside sales and promotion of Fusion Splicer products, Splice on Connectors, and other related products in the Eastern U.S. to an assigned customer base as well as provide coverage to other select accounts as directed. The sales manager will be expected to meet or exceed an assigned sales quota plan that includes finding and developing new opportunities and supporting and growing existing business. The sales manager will work from a home-based office (Eastern U.S. preferred), however other locations will be considered. Key Qualifications – Required Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering.
At least 5 years of experience in sales, engineering, or marketing of optical fiber-based products or equipment the telecom or datacom industry.
At least 2 years of experience in B2B sales responsibility to a quota.
Understanding of Mobility, FTTH, Data Center, Long Haul and Outside Plant (OSP) applications and business.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with experience preparing and confidently delivering clear, concise, and compelling presentations to customers and internal teams.
Ability to train clients, as needed, at a variety of technical levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability to successfully use sales/forecasting systems such as Salesforce
Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative and cohesive team environment (Marketing, R D, Engineering, Manufacturing) and adjust to multiple and changing priorities.
Record of success developing profitable partnerships with large customers. Key Qualifications – Desired At least 2 years of experience selling fusion splice equipment to a quota.
At least 2 years of experience in fusion splice applications engineering or training.
Applications engineering experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in
