Business Development- Outside Sales Job Description:
Gainesville Mechanical, a Southeastern US area mechanical and plumbing contractor in business since 1989, seeks to hire a full-time Business Development Outside Sales. This position requires a responsible person that acts as the liaison between the Company and current and new prospective clients, as well as other related activities to assist in bidding projects in various construction markets: K-12, higher education, industrial, healthcare, laboratory, chiller plants etc. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing both our existing sales contacts and developing new business opportunities
- Take a lead role in the presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
- Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales contact in accordance with targets
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies and strategic goals
- Work with estimating team in the pursuit of new work
- Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with the estimating and management to discuss strategy
- Manage bid forms, proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources
- Generate new leads, identify, and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the deals in line with strategies, and lead and facilitate pitch logistics
- Develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business development strategy, sales processes, structure, and best practices across the company
- Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; be proactive on bids and proposals
- Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations Critical Skills

Experience:
