Shaw’s Retail Sales Division is looking to hire a Regional Vice President of Sales to lead it’s Kansas market. This people leader will consistently achieve desired business results, positively influence customers and develop and facilitate the continued growth of the Territory Sales Managers (TM) on their team. This leader is responsible for leading, motivating, training, and directing the TM to accomplish the corporate goals for their assigned brands. A key responsibility of the Regional Vice President is the implementation, development, and management of all programs, be it product introductions, roll specials, sample placement, or the communication of any specific programs. This position will reside in and work from the Kansas City metro area.
Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate, train, and direct territory sales managers to achieve corporate goals while acting as a player-coach to enhance their selling capabilities and business growth. Develop and implement overarching strategies to grow the Kansas market, ensuring alignment with Shaw Industries’ objectives. Monitor sales performance and ensure that the team hits or exceeds budget targets, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Maintain control over regional expenses, especially those related to claims, accommodations, returns, and pricing, ensuring all client accounts are effectively managed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies and support initiatives tailored to the market. Demonstrate a clear understanding of Shaw Industries’ internal and external procedures to effectively address customer problems and enhance customer satisfaction. Allocate appropriate time to spend with each territory sales manager, ensuring they are supported and guided in their roles.
Qualifications:
4 years of professional experience required. Successful sales experience preferred, especially as a Territory Manager. Experience leading a team, indirectly leading a team, or formally mentoring teammates preferred. Flooring industry experience or a business adjacent to the flooring industry such as home renovation/home improvement experience preferred. Retail flooring dealer business segment experience preferred. Undergraduate degree preferred. Financial acumen skill set including knowledge and understanding of a P&L preferred. Must live within the division.
