Reporting to the VP of Retail Sales, the Vice President of Sales Excellence is crucial in driving our sales performance through account planning initiatives, optimizing processes, and ensuring continuous improvement within our sales team. Account Management and VP of Strategic Account (VPA) leaders will report in through this role. This leader will work with their leaders and their peers to execute new sales strategies, lead change management initiatives, and enhance the overall sales capability of the organization. This position will work in a hybrid way from our Dalton, GA corporate offices.
Responsibilities:
+ Collaborate with cross functional teams to analyze, refine, and support adoption of account planning + Provide strategic recommendations for the development and implementation of new sales processes to boost efficiency + Utilize data driven insights to optimize sales workflows and performance + Create plan with training and retail sales leader to drive business planning in every geography + Build trusting relationships with sales team and GMs to ensure local execution + Drive the top 3 national priorities through the account planning lens + Create and utilitze KPIs to drive better account planning and business plans + Lead change management initiatives to support retail sales leader and transformation efforts + Support leaders of AMs and VPSAs to ensure good strategic direction for future + Develop and implement strategies to drive adoption of new sales processes and technologies + Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to drive business growth + Track and report on KPIs and measure optimal account size for AM vs. TM for best engagement + Ensure growth within AM group and create plan to transition to TM + Constantly gather feedback on programs in account planning and best updates in Salesforce + Listen to sales and customers for opportunities and pain points + Evaluate effectiveness of field execution + Gather intelligence on best ways of working in the field
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree and 10 + years sales experience or other equivalent experience required + Past leadership required + Flooring industry or adjacent home improvement industry required + Experience with the variety of sales teams, customer segments and selling channels within the residential flooring industry preferred + Proven success in enhancing sales performance through process optimization and efficiency improvements preferred + Experience in developing and executing effective account planning strategies that drive engagement and growth preferred + Strong Salesforce and technology acumen preferred + Travel 50%+ required
