Regional Sales Director, and Vice President of Operations Job Summary:
The Cricket Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales and achieving targets within a defined geographic territory. This role involves managing and supporting multiple retail locations (both company-owned and authorized dealers), coaching and developing store personnel, ensuring consistent brand standards, and implementing sales strategies to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction for Cricket Wireless products and services. The Territory Manager acts as a key link between the company and its retail partners, fostering strong relationships and ensuring operational excellence across the territory.
Responsibilities:
Sales Management & Achievement:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets (including gross sales, net sales, accessory sales, rate plans, add-ons, retention goals, and auto bill pay goals) within the assigned territory.
- Monitor sales performance across all locations, analyze trends, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Work directly with store personnel to understand their challenges, provide guidance, and motivate them to achieve sales goals.
- Ensure all locations understand and effectively execute Cricket Wireless promotions, offers, and sales processes.
- Drive proactive sales initiatives and seek new opportunities to increase market share within the territory.
- Retail Partner Management (if applicable):
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with authorized dealer owners and managers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for retail partners, addressing their needs, concerns, and providing ongoing support.
- Ensure authorized dealers adhere to Cricket Wireless brand standards, operational guidelines, and contractual agreements.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess performance, provide coaching, and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with retail partners on local marketing and community engagement initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Coach, mentor, and develop Store Managers and Sales Associates within the territory to enhance their sales skills, product knowledge, and customer service abilities.
- Provide ongoing training and support on new products, services, and sales techniques.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to store leadership.
- Identify high-potential employees and support their growth within the organization.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment across all locations.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensure all retail locations maintain high standards of visual merchandising, store presentation, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper inventory management practices are followed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Address and resolve escalated customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to cash handling procedures.
Communication & Reporting:
- Serve as a key communication link between the retail locations and the corporate office.
- Communicate company updates, promotions, and policy changes effectively to store teams.
- Gather and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities within the territory.
- Prepare and present regular reports to the Regional Sales Manager or District Manager.
- Conduct regular meetings with store managers to review performance and discuss strategies.
Market Awareness & Business Development:
- Stay informed about local market conditions, competitor activities, and customer trends.
- Identify opportunities for new store locations or expansion within the territory.
- Participate in local events and community activities to build brand awareness and drive traffic.
- Develop and implement local grassroots marketing and prospecting initiatives.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in retail sales management, preferably in the wireless or telecommunications industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and manage a geographically dispersed territory.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish may be required or preferred depending on the territory.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and move around the retail locations.
- Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 to 15 pounds (e.
g., marketing materials, inventory).
