As the Area Director of Sales & Marketing, you will lead the overall sales strategy and execution for five hotels. You’ll collaborate closely with property teams, revenue management, and corporate leadership to maximize market share and profitability while upholding the unique charm and guest experience that define each property. Develop and execute a cohesive sales and marketing strategy across all five hotels to achieve business objectives Lead proactive sales efforts and secure new accounts across transient, group, and corporate segments Partner with revenue management to optimize rate strategy and inventory controls Set and achieve individual and team booking goals, with a strong focus on business travel, extended stay, and leisure segments Oversee the development and execution of promotional campaigns, packages, and local activations Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, tourism partners, and community stakeholders Manage all sales operations including proposals, contracts, site visits, and client communications Track performance metrics, analyze market trends, and adjust sales efforts accordingly Represent the hotels in the local community and at trade shows and industry events
What We’re Looking For:
Proven success in hotel sales, preferably in a multi-property or boutique environment Strong understanding of the New Orleans market and its unique demand drivers Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills Ability to lead initiatives independently while collaborating effectively across teams High level of organization, creativity, and strategic thinking Associate’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; Bachelor’s degree, a plus
Solid organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
Proven lead-generation and closing skills
Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screening
