THE ROLE
The Director of Experience Design & Sales will serve as the strategic link between sales, event organizers, and hospitality operations at the Superdome and Smoothie King Center. This role will translate event goals into personalized, operationally sound experiences that begin during pre-planning and extend through execution. The Director will ensure that every guest-facing detail for private events and VIP experiences supports a cohesive, high-impact experience. The Director reports to the General Manager of Hospitality at the Superdome. Works cross-functionally with culinary, operations, premium sales, and event services at both the Superdome and Smoothie King Center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
+ Responsible for all food and beverage sales, including the production and managing of banquet event orders (BEO) + Serve as the primary liaison between building sales teams, event organizers, and on-site food and beverage operations. + Lead event experience strategy across all food and beverage touch-points for guests at private events and VIP experiences for shows and concerts + Design and implement tailored service plans that reflect unique event goals and operational excellence + Collaborate with culinary and service leads to shape menus, staffing models, and presentation details for each event. + Guide clients through planning phases, acting as their primary point of contact for hospitality execution. + Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event recaps to evaluate performance and drive continuous improvement. + Partner with marketing to integrate branded elements into premium experiences where appropriate. + Maintain detailed records of client expectations, service modifications, and experience data to support repeat business and guest loyalty.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE + 7-10
years of experience in premium hospitality, live events, or venue experience design. + Deep understanding of large-scale event logistics, guest behavior, and hospitality operations. + Proven track record managing high-touch client relationships and complex service delivery plans. + Ability to collaborate across departments while maintaining ownership of guest experience strategy. + Familiarity with CRM platforms, guest feedback systems, and hospitality tech solutions.
COMPENSATION
Competitive salary range of $75,000 – $90,000 plus bonus potential, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
