Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The National Field Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share across the country. You will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers, overseeing district field sales managers, and implementing effective sales tactics to achieve targets. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the sales process, and the ability to motivate and coach a geographically dispersed team of sales professionals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and execute measurable sales strategies to achieve revenue growth, market share increases and overall customer satisfaction.
- Drive new business through design, customer count growth and preferred supplier status at all focus accounts.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of regional sales managers and field sales representatives to exceed sales targets.
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights and recommending improvements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, operations, asset, and products to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
- Conduct regular field visits to key accounts, participate in sales presentations, and provide guidance and support to the sales team as needed.
- Establish and drive weekly field management leadership calls.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, competitor activities, and market trends to inform sales strategies and tactics.
- Continuously assess and improve sales processes, tools, and training programs to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency.
- Employee Development, Recruiting, Hiring and Networking for future needs and positions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in fastener or related industry distribution company with a minimum of 3 years of field sales management and direct customer management experience.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of sales professionals.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a national or multi-regional sales environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans in alignment with company goals.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales data analysis and reporting.
- Willingness to travel frequently to meet with customers, attend industry events, and conduct field visits as needed. This position requires extensive travel. Travel expectations are 50%.
- Advanced knowledge Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to report to assigned office location during scheduled in-office workdays.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Driving record must be in good standing. Able to travel including driving frequently as required of the job.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers.
