We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Director to join our clients team in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, with a focus on facilities management and technical engineering solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the facilities management sector, including technical engineering services such as HVAC, electrical systems, and mechanical solutions and Total FM solutions, to effectively drive growth and expansion in this specialized market.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and generate new business opportunities within the facilities management sector, focusing on technical engineering solutions. Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, including facility managers, operations directors, and executives in both private and public sectors. Develop and deliver tailored sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients, emphasizing the value and benefits of our technical engineering services. Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, project management, and engineering experts, to ensure proposed solutions meet client requirements and industry standards. Negotiate contract terms and close deals to achieve sales and revenue targets. Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market conditions to proactively identify potential opportunities. Monitor competitor activity and market shifts, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge. Manage and track sales pipeline, reporting regularly on business development activities, forecasts, and outcomes to senior management. Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and foster relationships with potential clients.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). , specifically within the facilities management and technical engineering solutions sector. Strong knowledge of facilities management services, including technical engineering systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building automation. Proven track record of generating new business, managing long sales cycles, and closing large, complex deals. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand client needs and develop customized solutions. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to travel locally and nationally as needed.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with building automation systems and energy management solutions. Familiarity with industry certifications, codes, and regulations related to facilities management and technical engineering. Previous experience working within the commercial real estate or property management sectors is a plus.
