Company Description Performance Foodservice, PFG’s broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants and other experts builds close relationships with each customer, providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection and operational strategies. The Performance Foodservice team delivers delicious food, but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams. Job Description The Area Manager position will perform the following duties: Manages a geographical sales territory ensuring that independent and regional account business is developed and budgeted sales and profit objectives are achieved. Regularly calls on existing and potential customers. Develops and executes business plans. Effectively manages time and resources to attain results. Builds business through support of company branded product. Manages pricing and monitors credit term compliance. Be available for emergency deliveries to customers. For Oxford, MS – must live in the sales territory. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 2 years of industry related experience or a degree from a culinary school will be considered equivalent experience. Outside sales experience in a fast paced environment. Excellent verbal and written presentation skills, organizational and time management skills, strong desire to build new business, strong work ethic and attention to details, excellent customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Position requires extensive local travel- valid driver’s license and clean MVR with dependable means of transportation. Infrequent lifting of 25 – 30 pounds may be required. This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test. Preferred Qualifications 4 years college degree or 2 years Business to Business sales experience.
