About the Position The Business and Technology Development Manager plays a key role in driving strategic growth through the development and management of high-value partner relationships and leading business development programs for assigned accounts. This role will leverage technical expertise and market insight to identify emerging trends and needs, assess new product opportunities and guide product development requirements for assigned programs. The ideal candidate is a proactive and results-oriented individual with a strong technical and commercial aptitude who excels at navigating complex customer environments to align solutions with business objectives.
What you will do:
Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with stakeholders at assigned accounts (e.g. end users, active equipment system vendors and transceiver manufacturers) Create and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company objectives. Develop understanding of customer roadmaps and technology plans and identify opportunities for new products and applications Serve as a trusted, consultative partner for assigned accounts, positioning US Conec solutions and capabilities for design-ins Prepare and deliver impactful presentations, proposals and technical content tailored to the needs of assigned account/customer Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to define new product/technology requirements and drive program initiatives Lead and manage assigned new application programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines and deliverables Investigate assigned emerging trends/applications/accounts to inform business development team priorities Represent US Conec at industry conferences, trade shows, and technical forums.
Requirements:
What we’d like you to have: Bachelor’s degree in technical field; Engineering strongly preferred Proven track record in business development or related commercial role. Ability to comprehend and clearly communicate technical concepts and product requirements. Knowledge of optical communications, data center and enterprise markets, and related industry trends Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects with demanding timelines simultaneously and prioritize critical tasks Self-started with ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Travel Required (25%+) Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of basic fiber optic theory, optical cabling, connectors and hardware products Experience with data center infrastructure design and/or deployment Understanding of optical communications network architectures
