The Banquet Catering Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering operations for banquets, weddings, corporate events, and other special occasions held at our venue. This position involves coordinating event planning, menu selection, client relations, and staff supervision to ensure the successful execution of events and the satisfaction of our guests. This role combines proactive sales efforts with seamless event planning and execution, ensuring a premium experience that aligns with the club’s standards and member expectations.
Candidate Qualifications Responsibilities:
Coordinate event planning and logistics with clients, including menu selection, venue setup, decor arrangements, and special requests or accommodations.
Maintain and grow existing client relationships to drive repeat bookings.
Work closely with the culinary team to develop customized menus based on client preferences, dietary restrictions, and event themes.
Prepare event orders (BEOs) and conduct pre-event meetings with relevant departments.
Manage event budgets and financials, including pricing, invoicing, and cost control measures to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
Conduct site visits and consultations with clients to showcase venue offerings, discuss event details, and address any questions or concerns.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process and the duration of the event, providing personalized service and timely communication.
Supervise catering staff, including servers, bartenders, and setup crews, to ensure efficient and professional service delivery during events.
Oversee event setup and execution, ensuring that all elements of the event, including food service, decor, audiovisual equipment, etc. are coordinated seamlessly.
Monitor guest satisfaction and feedback during events, addressing any concerns or requests promptly and courteously to ensure a positive guest experience.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote venue offerings, generate leads, and secure bookings for future events.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in catering and event management, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance services and offerings.
Maintain accurate records in CRM or event management software.
Prepare and track contracts, deposits, and billing details in a timely manner.
Provide weekly/monthly reports on sales pipeline, bookings, and revenue.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in catering or event management, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional service.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and vendors.
Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, costing, and execution.
Proficiency in event planning software Caterease, All Seated and Microsoft Office Suite.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
Preferred:
Experience working in a private club, resort, or fine dining environment.
Familiarity with private member events, etiquette, and club culture.

Commission Structure (3% of sales for yearly group revenue of $500K and under – 5% of sales for yearly group sales revenue of over $500k)—Commissions are paid monthly after the event is completed, posted & paid. Year-end performance bonus potential of up to $2,500.00 based on Supervisor Evaluation
