BD & OEM
Sales Manager to join our high-impact Semiconductor team. This strategic leadership role is tailored for a business development-driven professional who thrives on building deep relationships with OEM clients and driving revenue growth across Semiconductor, Fiber Optics, and Electric Vehicle (EV) markets.
The applicant will need to reside near the Wendell, NC site.
As a keymercial leader, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, spearheading regional growth initiatives, and establishing VPG as a partner of choice among major OEMs. You will drive go-to-market strategies, develop long-termmercial partnerships, and lead a high-performing sales team to consistently exceed targets.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and execute strategic business development plans focused on expanding OEM accounts across target markets.
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities to grow market and diversify revenue streams.
Build and nurture strong, executive-level relationships with OEM decision-makers and cross-functional stakeholders.
Lead high-value negotiations and secure long-term contracts, including multi-year agreements with major global OEMs.
Analyze industry and customer trends to advise on product innovation, pricing strategy, and go-to-market alignment.
Set and manage annual sales budgets and quarterly revenue forecasts in line with corporate growth objectives.
Collaborate with product management and engineering to position VPG solutions effectively in emerging markets.
Recruit, develop, and lead a results-driven sales and customer support team focused on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS
10+ years of progressive experience in OEM sales, business development, or strategic account management within technical or engineered products industries (Semiconductor, Fiber Optics, EV, or similar).
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related technical field
Proven success in securing and expanding OEM relationships throughplexmercial negotiations and solution selling.
Demonstrated ability to exceed sales goals and drive business unit growth across diverse product lines and territories.
Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing cross-functional sales teams and driving performance.
Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities and turn vision into actionable growth plans.
Excellentmunication, presentation, and executive-level relationship-building skills.
Willingness to travel regionally and globally to meet client and business development needs.
