Business Development Manager AutomationCharlotte, NC -Fully RemoteSummary of the roleThe open position is for a BusinessDevelopment Manager Automation for the Hydro division to cover theUS market and customers. The role will cover US customers &quarterly visit to our Charlotte office will be required. Business development and marketing activities in US for theHydro division Automation offering (excitation systems, speedgovernors, protection and control); Visit customers and consultants regularly to establish closerelationships with key Automation contacts in coordination with keyaccount managers; Understand and communicate customer needs to the internal teamsin order to define the best sales strategies for the Automationprojects; Establish pre-bid strategies and influence customerspecifications and contracting models prior to RFP issuance; Regularly follow-up with customers to track and prioritizefuture project lists and identify resource and R Drequirements; Communicate at all levels of the customer organization to keepa high visibility for ANDRITZ; Work in close collaboration with the Automation proposal teamto produce a winning proposal that meets or exceeds customerexpectations; Prepare budget offers to customers with support from theproposal team; Organization or participation in external seminars andconferences; Maintain all Sales Reporting tools & CRM with latest data fromthe customers and the market; Presentations to customers on ANDRITZ Automation product andservice offering; Competitor and customer intelligence tracking; Support monthly and quarterly reporting.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or relevantexperience; Minimum 7 years of experience in business development orcustomer account management in Hydro Automation or related field(industrial automation, substation automation); Demonstrated success in securing orders and building customerrelationships on a long term basis; Knowledge of commercial contracts and technical specificationprocess for Automation equipment sales; Effective communication skills (oral & written) in amulti-stakeholder environment; Willing to travel extensively, mainly across US; Result oriented, independent, innovative, and dynamic; Knowledge of Automation products (excitation systems, speedgovernors, protection and control), technical aspects and marketrelated to hydroelectric business desired (an asset); Ability to build up an efficient contact network.
