Job Description
The Director of Business Development will support the SVP of Business Development / M&A and play a critical role in advancing the company’s strategic growth initiatives. This role will lead and support the sourcing, evaluation and execution of acquisition and joint venture partnerships, as well as drive de novo development initiatives. This role will focus on research, deal support, relationship management, and cross-functional coordination to help identify and execute new market and partner opportunities. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of analytical skills, transaction experience, healthcare industry knowledge, and a collaborative mindset to help translate strategic objectives into actionable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Growth team in identifying, evaluating, and pursuing joint venture and M&A opportunities. Conduct market research and competitive intelligence on target geographies and prospective partners. Lead financial modeling, valuation, and business case development for acquisition and joint venture opportunities. Assist in the preparation of pitch decks and board-level presentations. Help manage the deal pipeline and tracking process; coordinate follow-ups with potential partners and internal stakeholders. Manage transaction due diligence in coordination with finance, legal, operations and integration stakeholders. Develop and maintain strong relationships with health system leaders, imaging operators, and referral partners under the SVP’s guidance. Contribute to strategic planning initiatives and internal reporting on growth performance, metrics, and pipeline status. Represent the Business Development team in cross-functional meetings and help ensure alignment between strategic goals and operational execution.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in healthcare business development, corporate development, or investment banking/private equity. Experience in diagnostic imaging, provider services, or healthcare joint ventures is a plus. Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling; experience working on deal structures and business cases. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and timelines. Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and private equity-backed environment. Willingness to travel (up to 30%) as needed to support deal execution and partner engagement.
