Position Overview:

Crestron has an opening for a Business Development, State Local and Education (SLED), RSM to join our Sales team in the Southeast (NC, SC, GA, TN, FL, AL, MS) territory This individual will build and maintain strong relationships with SLED accounts and drive sales and opportunity growth within their assigned territory. In this role, you will be responsible for finding opportunities within state agencies, city/county municipalities and educational institutions, cultivating relationships, and working closely with the Channel team to close business. We will look for you to showcase your intuitive interpersonal skills, outstanding organizational abilities, and proven success in building SLED accounts such as: state agencies, local municipalities (cities, counties, etc.), and educational institutions (K-12 public schools, universities, etc.) This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team in a fast-growing organization.

Responsibilities:

Identify and develop new opportunities, collaborating with the sales team to provide solutions, driving business back to the re-seller channel and assisting in closing the sale
Primary focus will be hunting for new SLED accounts/opportunities, in addition to developing and maintaining business within existing accounts and manage complex sales situations and large projects.
Maintain accurate records: Business forecasting, pipeline development and management of accounts
Develop an executive annual plan for new business development and growth of existing accounts in line with the company strategy
Cultivate business relationships within all levels of management within the SLED entities
Train end users on technology products that will advance the development of market solutions.

Qualifications:

Self-motivated driver with a proven track record sales experience in SLED market or equivalent Enterprise and Fed Government sales experience.
Technical acumen: candidate will be essential in developing accounts and selling project-based, hardware and/or software systems solutions.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and passion to succeed in the AV/UC technology sector
Able to communicate effectively with consultants and engineers
Experience using Sales CRM/forecasting software

  • Salesforce CRM preferred
    Working knowledge of Crestron’s products and software will be important as you will be demonstrating our products to potential clients, prior experience with AV/Crestron a plus.
    Knowledge of SLED budget processes, procurement policies, IT procurement requirements and facilities management within a large organization
    Valid Driver’s License
    College/University degree

    Per applicable state requirements, the annual pay range for this position ($140,000
  • $180,000) which consists of base salary and target sales incentive (subject to performance), reflects the hiring range for candidates performing the role.
