SUMMARY:

Seeking an individual who loves to work with an engaged team and play a crucial role in generating revenue and room nights for groups of 25 rooms or less in the North Carolina meetings market. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, possess a strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills in order to thrive in this fast-paced position. EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of four years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for booking revenue and room nights for groups of 25 rooms or less out of North Carolina. Possess a keen awareness of Pinehurst’s competitive set, key selling strategies and overall golf industry knowledge
Embrace a team-first environment through collaboration with fellow team members and across all departments
Attend industry events and meetings and participate in networking opportunities to spread awareness of Pinehurst Resort
Participate in key Sales Strategy meetings that include Daily Business Review
Follow up on all leads within 24 business hours with appropriate next steps
Coordinate and conduct client site meetings
Maintain database of contacts and accounts
Meet/exceed assigned prospecting goals
High proficiency in use of LinkedIn and Instagram, and aware of current trends in social media
Be a professional ambassador of Pinehurst when attending business meetings or social events
Display excellent customer service skills through interaction with team members, guests and clients
Display initiative and independent thinking that adds value to the organization.
Participate in training of new employees within the department
Adhere to all property and department standards including safety guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Group Sales & Event Services
