Role:
As our Event Sales Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for clients looking to host a wide range of events.
Your responsibilities will include:
Drive Sales:
Proactively solicit new and repeat business to meet and exceed sales goals.
Client Consultation:
Schedule and conduct sales appointments, respond to inquiries (phone and walk-ins), and understand client needs.
Event Planning & Sales:
Sell event space, services, and guest rooms; upsell menus and enhancements to maximize event potential.
Proposal & Presentation:
Develop and deliver proposals to prospective clients, showcasing our venue and services.
Site Tours:
Conduct tours to showcase our facilities and amenities.
Event Planning:
Assist clients with all stages of their event planning including menu selections, floor plans, event timelines and details, to ensure a seamless execution.
Contract & Documentation:
Generate and manage contracts using PandaDoc; create Banquet Event Orders and floor plans in our Total E system.
In-House Events:
Create and develop in-house event functions, collaborating with the Director of Sales & Marketing and providing support during events.
Business Development:
Prospect for new business through various channels, including phone calls, sales calls, community involvement, trade shows, and chamber events.
Market Research:
Conduct online market research to identify and attract new business opportunities.
Internal Collaboration:
Attend weekly banquet event order meetings and work closely with the banquet department and banquet kitchen management.
Client Relationship Management:
Maintain and secure repeat business through exceptional guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Cross-Functional Support:
Crosstrain to support the Guest Services department with daily responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in event planning and management.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple event accounts simultaneously.
- Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends (this position requires a Sunday- Thursday work schedule).
Organizational Relationships:
- Reports directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing
- Ability to work individually as well as collaborate with other departments.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$65,000.00 per year
