Annually Summary:
The 1st SVP Sales and Strategy is responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing the Bank’s sales strategy to ensure performance. This role also encompasses leading fee revenue sales businesses and managing sales support team to facilitate achieving the Bank’s Strategic Plan.
Job Responsibilities:
Performance & Growth Strategy Develop and execute coordinated, data-informed, forward-thinking sales strategies to achieve deposit, new customer, and revenue growth.
Analyze market trends and internal customer data to deliver new business and segment opportunities. Identify new market opportunities, growth segments, and design value propositions to attract new niche segments. Create strategies to further embed fee revenue generating businesses into daily practices and uncover new partnerships to mature businesses.
Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, or acquisitions that support strategic goals.
Devise branch expansion and optimization market plan. Support de novo branch growth. Collaborate with external partners and FinTech’s to monitor financial trends and capture data points to ensure business growth mindset and programming.
Set sales goals and performance metrics in alignment with corporate objectives.
Influence Executive Management and key stakeholders to successfully embed proposed strategies as relevant. Driving Revenue Growth Ensure profitability through effective sales practices and processes.
Partner with Marketing, Retail, Commercial Banking, Salesforce, and Product and Digital teams to create integrated campaigns and referral strategies.
Analyze and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Prepare and deliver reports to Executive Management on financial performance and strategic initiatives.
Execute sales campaigns, support the launch of value propositions, and sales programming to drive deposit growth.
Manage a sales support team. Cross-Functional Sales Management Lead non-bank channel sales teams to ensure high performance and achievement of targets. This includes First Jersey Title, Columbia Insurance Services, Retirement Services, and Wealth Management.
Monitor performance and establish growth plans.
Facilitate consistent referral processes and ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives. Enable and track cross-sell processes.
Expand and mature business through external partnerships. Client & Stakeholder Relations Facilitate regular, transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategic priorities and performance expectations.
Work closely with Product, Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams to deliver seamless, client-centric solutions.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field;
At least 15 years of experience in banking with sales, with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role;
Proven history in designing bank strategy and sales management;
Strong knowledge of the banking industry and its products/services;
Excellent communication, negotiation, influence, and interpersonal skills;
The ability to think analytically and strategically, and drive results in a challenging environment;
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights;
Ability to drive results and lead teams toward achieving objectives;

Schedule:
