Inside Sales Manager

  • Inside Sales, you will be responsible for the execution of strategic direction, development, and performance of inside sales activities in the restaurant and foodservice industry.

You will work to staff and direct the inside sales team, providing coaching and leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth with customers in line with the Company’s vision and values. You will ensure execution of plans and strategies to expand customer base and contribute to the development of training and educational programs for inside sales personnel. DFS is in growth mode, looking for a player coach to help get our teams to the next level. It’s an exciting time to join this company as we move to a state of the art new facility boasting automated processes to bring our customers the most value! This position will require full time on-site management of the Lumberton , NJ location with local travel, up to 10%. Serves as coach and mentor to inside sales personnel. Works collectively with inside sales and field sales leaders to ensure effective communication with all customers Oversees performance and development of inside sales team Conducts one-on-one review with sales team to build effective communications, understand training and development needs, and provide insight for improvement of team sales. Prepares action plans for inside sales team for effective search of sales leads and prospects. Identifies and creates new sales initiatives and executes sales strategies to penetrate new markets. Assists in design and creation of account business plans, documented in CRM system Works in partnership with outside sellers to implement strategic selling strategies Facilitates pipeline management with regular reviews of pipeline that consistently exceeds sales targets Creates a culture of accountability, collaboration and celebration Maintains accurate records of pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by sales team. Identify specific customer trends, needs, and opportunities and communicate insights with sales and product teams Coach and mentor representatives to effectively execute the company’s sales strategies, helping individuals exceed sales targets and coaching on use of tools and technology Set and track KPIs and sales quotas across the team, including being accountable for team performance including exceeding all aligned sales and margin goals Coach to established sales process to enable new and cross/upsell opportunities, develop sales solutions, negotiate pricing and close sales opportunities Qualifications High School Degree or equivalent required; Bachelors’ Degree preferred Strong professional sales and consultative skills, ability to coach and mentor growing sales team. 4 years preferred of inside sales management with preferred experience in distribution industry. 4 years of creating new or significantly advancing sales channels is preferred. 4 years of strong background and track record in managing creative sales initiatives is preferred. 4 years of training and developing a sales force is preferred. Knowledge of wholesale distribution products and markets is preferred. Ability to travel up to 10%
