JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Overview :
As the Director of Sales, you’ll be the driving force behind our property’s success, working strategically to generate top-line revenue and elevate Newark’s Comfort Inn & Suite’s presence in the marketplace. You’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on the hotel’s growth while ensuring our guests receive an exceptional experience.
What You’ll Do :
Lead Sales Strategy:
Drive revenue by developing and executing sales strategies that attract new business and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts.
Achieve Financial Goals :
Focus on meeting or surpassing budget targets, ensuring the success and profitability of the property.
Sales Team Leadership :
Manage, motivate, and support the Sales team, ensuring the team’s productivity, growth, and alignment with hotel objectives.
Target Market Expansion :
Identify and pursue new market segments to grow the hotel’s customer base, while creating special packages to boost occupancy during slower periods.
Innovative Marketing :
Design and implement creative marketing campaigns, including print, digital, and outdoor advertising, to boost brand awareness and drive business.
Community Engagement :
Represent the hotel at trade shows, civic events, and local organizations to build connections and enhance the property’s visibility.
Cross-Department Collaboration :
Work closely with the General Manager, Department Heads, and staff to ensure seamless communication and alignment of sales and marketing strategies.
Budget Management :
Maintain the Sales Department’s annual budget, ensuring costs are controlled while maximizing revenue opportunities.
What We’re Looking For :
A proven track record in sales and marketing leadership, ideally within the hospitality industry. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Creative and analytical thinker with the ability to turn data into actionable insights. Expertise in digital marketing strategies and tools, including social media and analytics platforms.
