ROLE PURPOSE

We’re looking for a high-performing Directorof Business Development with pharmaceutical agency experience. Thisperson will direct all the business development activities of theorganization. This individual will drive new sales business andplay a key role in the company’s bottom line. Our ideal candidatewill be a self-motivated, hands-on Business Developmentprofessional. Must be able to meet monthly and quarterly quotas forrevenue and pipeline development. This person will acquire newcustomers and sell additional products or services to existingones; identify opportunities for strategic partnerships andbusiness deals with key companies in the pharmaceutical industry.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for the overall management ofall strategic and operational Marketing activities. Provide marketfeedback to company leadership regarding competitive offerings,prospect needs, and generate product development ideas. Takeownership of the management of the sales and marketing functions ofthe business. Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve thecompany’s ambitious growth. Working to acquire targets, the jobholder will be required to adopt a professional and knowledgeableapproach to each new business call as they uncover businessopportunities. Planning and coordinating the implementation ofbusiness plans and the penetration of new markets. Identify andbuild prospect lists. Initiate contact and set meetings withprospects via phone, email, LinkedIn, networking events, etc. Meetmonthly, quarterly, and annual business development performanceobjectives. Create PowerPoint/Google Slides presentations and otherbusiness proposal documentation. Management of business developmentteam.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEREQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree required. 10 years of salesexperience, preferably in the pharmaceutical advertising agencyindustry. Demonstrated achievement of sales quotas in business.

Experience in working with senior management to align salesstrategies and solutions. Excellent negotiation skills, proventrack record of successfully pitching for new business. A proventrack record in strong presentation skills. A strong track recordof business-to-business sales at a corporate level. Strong researchand strategic analysis skills. Proven expertise in prospecting.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and beable to cold call potential clients with confidence. Must beskilled at agreeing and closing deals with clients. Proven abilityto learn and adapt to a fast-changing business developmentlandscape while remaining focused on achieving core objectives.

Ability to create and manage solid business development portfolioshowing exceptional follow-through and closing skills, ultimatelydriving growth for the company. Excellent organizational skills aswell as performance monitoring. Must be able to operate MicrosoftOffice and associated programs. Ability to manage a team. Travelrequired.
