The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of catering services, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction while driving business growth. Responsibilities Prospecting new business and handling event inquiries including proposals, site inspections, negotiations and contracts Develop repeat clientele by building relationships through entertaining, regular sales calls and attending appropriate industry functions. Oversee all details of event planning and execution including menu planning and selection, logistical arrangements, staffing, event room set up and event management with a professionalism that ensures seamless service from start to finish. Collaborate with culinary vendors to design innovative menus that cater to diverse client preferences. Utilize Tripleseat catering system for tracking sales leads, managing customer relationships, creating banquet event orders (BEO’s), resumes and reporting on business development activities. Ensure that event billing is detailed and correct and that payments are processed according to schedule agreed upon with clients. Train and supervise catering staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and excellence. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency. Skills Minimum of two years of experience in direct sales within the catering or hospitality industry. Strong business development skills with a focus on account management and business development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and team members. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Proficient in using Tripleseat or similar CRM systems for tracking sales activities and customer interactions. Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment. Passion for top-flight hospitality.
