Director of Marketing and Development Position Available In Suffolk, New York

Director of Marketing and Development Community Action Southold Town (CAST) Southold, NY 11971 Job Overview The Development Director plays a crucial role in driving the strategic growth and sustainability of our organization. This position will lead the strategy and execution for all of CAST’s marketing communications, grant writing and fundraising. The Director ensures that CAST’s brand and programs are communicated effectively and that its revenue goals are met by securing foundation, corporate, government and donor funding. This role works closely with the Chief Advancement Officer, Executive Director and department heads and is supported by the Marketing and Development Associate and Administration and Development Assistant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in digital marketing, content creation, and analytics, with a passion for fostering relationships and driving results. Responsibilities and Duties Lead grant writing process including partnering with department heads on successful grant applications, reporting, research/identifying new opportunities and maintaining the grant calendar Drive and expand fundraising efforts including CAST’s three annual fundraisers, fundraising partnerships, annual appeals, and donor stewardship. Plan, manage and attend all major fundraising events and ensure the development team organizes and represents CAST at smaller fundraising and market-related events Lead CAST’s marketing efforts including website, email, social media, advertising collateral, GiveSmart fundraising platform, and brand and content management Partner with freelance Graphic Designer and CAST team to develop marketing campaign creative and assets Oversee maintenance of CAST’s donor and grant database in EveryAction and ensure we are leveraging its functionality Manage Marketing and Development team including training, strategy setting, monitoring progress toward goals and professional development Collaborate with the Executive Director, department heads and the Board to advance CAST’s mission Nurture and develop relationships with CAST donors, partners and volunteers Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree 5+ years of experience Must be mission-driven , have strong written as well as verbal communication skills and a positive attitude Possesses organizational skills, creativity and excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Abiility to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating strong leadership capabilities . A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on achieving results.
