The Director of Sales is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve revenue growth and market expansion in the manufacturing sector. This role involves developing sales strategies, fostering client relationships, and ensuring the team meets performance metrics to drive overall business success. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to enhance performance and productivity.
Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and trends in the manufacturing industry.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Oversee sales forecasting and reporting to track progress and adjust strategies as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, and finance to align sales strategies with business objectives.
Drive business development efforts to expand market reach and increase revenue streams.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure profitable deals with customers.
Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to optimize sales processes.
Engage with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.
Qualifications
Proven experience in sales management within the manufacturing industry.
