Salary – Salary Plan, 135,000.00 USD Annual Job Description Responsibilities Crane 1 is seeking experienced and fast-starting District Managers to provide oversight for multiple branch offices and drive high-performing, customer-focused culture across an assigned region. The District Manager will guide Branch Operation Managers in recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining top-tier service technicians, acting as a servant leader while leveraging Crane 1’s support resources. This is a demanding, strategic, and entrepreneurial role requiring the ability to prioritize and oversee a wide variety of management, operational, and sales-oriented activities across multiple locations. It is a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Expertise in managing operations in a service-based, industrial maintenance and repair business is critical. Reporting directly to the COO, this is a demanding, ‘hands-on’, entrepreneurial position that requires a person with the ability to prioritize and complete a wide variety of management, operational, and sales-oriented activities. Key Responsibilities:
SAFETY:
Provide leadership to ensure a safe work environment across all branches by serving as the district safety officer. Ensure branch managers organize, document, and report monthly safety meetings. Oversee and maintain all safety-related documentation per company guidelines.
SALES :
Drive sales to meet or exceed district-wide growth objectives, ensuring each branch contributes to overall targets. Collaborate with National Account Management and the Regional Vice President to manage key accounts and expand market share across the district. Ensure territory sales managers follow up on all solid leads, referrals, and bid lists for both new and existing customer inquiries across the district. Oversee customer engagement processes, ensuring territory sales managers meet with new potential customers, provide necessary information, and educate them about Crane 1’s product and service offerings. Review and approve service quotes/proposals generated by territory sales managers, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with customer budgets and market conditions. Foster a continuing, positive, trusting, and professional relationship with all accounts, acting as the primary liaison between Crane 1 and key district customers. Ensure branch operation managers and TSM’s schedule periodic customer site visits to maintain strong relationships. Collaborate with the new business development team to drive territory growth across the district. Oversee the sales funnel process, ensuring it is consistently implemented as a routine way of working across all branches.
BUSINESS OWNERSHIP
Develop and manage district budgets, allocating resources effectively to meet current and future growth needs across branches. Communicate company strategy clearly and uphold the highest ethical standards across all operations. Oversee profit and loss management for the district, ensuring financial accountability at each branch. Guide branch managers in retention and recruitment strategies to build strong, capable teams. Deliver district-wide financial objectives, focusing on orders, revenue, gross margin, EBITDA and working capital. Develop and implement routines to support branch operations, ensuring consistent communication of results to the RVP. Lead district-wide production meetings to align revenue and working capital objectives across branches. Champion the Crane 1 Advantage across the district, ensuring all branches articulate and execute it effectively.
Qualifications & Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. 8-10+ years of experience in a related sales & operations leadership role with growth trajectory, preferably in industrial services, manufacturing, or construction.
