Full-Time Reports to: VP, Business Development Purpose The Manager, Business Development is responsible for supporting early pipeline prospect engagement that will result in new exclusive and limited distribution business for rare disease opportunities. This role supports growth strategies by working closely with the VP, Business Development to engage manufacturers early in the sales process through various industry events and communication platforms. The Manager will also support marketing and social media efforts by serving as the liaison between Marketing and Business Development to support early engagement pipeline growth opportunities

Responsibilities Pipeline Prospecting:

Supports efforts in identifying, connecting with, and developing meaningful relationships with manufacturers in early development of rare disease therapies. Prospecting will result in more products in the PANTHERx commercial process and increase the probability of PANTHERx being selected to be the exclusive or highly limited distribution partner. Monitors and identifies key contacts at identified targeted growth opportunities via Hubspot and LinkedIn and other various Social Media platforms and sites.

Professional and Trade Meeting Support:

Leads, manages, and implements PANTHERx’s participation at Pharma Trade Shows and Therapeutic Conferences to enhance early engagement with identified pipeline opportunities. Coordinates with the VP, Business Development on all logistics and marketing needs for the various meetings.

Business Development:

Supports the Business Development (BD) Team in manufacturer early engagement presentations and represents the organization during Specialty Pharmacy trade shows and industry therapeutic conferences. Supports the BD Team in RFP submittal process to win new business and drive revenue and EBITDA growth with respect to new drug opportunities.

Marketing:

Assists with marketing efforts with BD pipeline opportunities and coordinates with marketing to ensure branded materials are created to support growth opportunities with manufacturer engagements.

Prescriber Efforts:

Coordinates with the Prescriber Relations Team at therapeutic conferences for marketing efforts to drive revenue and EBIDTA growth of the organization. Leads the BD Team’s conference participation process to follow the organization’s Play Book Format for pre

These activities include registration, marketing demands, booth management, manufacturer meeting coordination and other needs that will advance new growth opportunities with manufacturers. Supports and participates in activities that shepherd a prospective manufacturer through the commercial process, resulting in new wins for PANTHERx. Coordinates with Marketing to develop and implement social media initiatives to enhance early engagement with potential manufacturers partners to drive additional growth (i.e. LinkedIn). Supports the BD Marketing function at PANTHERx. Serves as the liaison between BD/ Marketing to ensure the marketing collateral to support manufacturer engagement is on point and timely and follows organizational branded messaging. Required Qualifications BA/BS in Business, Marketing or related discipline. Minimum of 2 years of clinical or healthcare experience. Minimum of 3 years of specialty pharmacy experience. Strong leadership skills with a focus on continuous growth and development.

High level of independent judgment, individual initiative, and time management skills. Ability to communicate effectively in a manner that is clear, logical and consistent. Experience working across teams and managing relationships in a matrixed environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Competency with customer relationship management tool use. Ability to manage deliverables in a high pace environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or advanced business degree. Orphan and rare pharmaceutical pipeline sales development experience. Background in business development activities involving pharmaceutical manufacturers. Experience managing and leading strategy engagements at a specialty pharmacy. Experience working with pharma manufacturers, physicians, patients, and health plans. Work Environment This position works in a professional home or office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
