~50% Position Summary Drive business growth and strengthen MEPPIs market presence in the rail and transit industry. In this role, you will build and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers at transit authorities and rail transportation systems manufacturers. Your focus will be identifying new business opportunities, leading regional sales strategies, and positioning MEPPIs Transportation Systems Division (TSD) products to meet revenue, margin, and market share goals. What you’ll do Prospecting Identify and pursue new business opportunities with transit and rail authorities not currently utilizing MELCO equipment. Relationship-Building Cultivate strong connections with key technical and commercial decision makers at all levels within target organizations. Strategy Develop and execute regional sales plans that align with divisional objectives for profitability, volume, and market expansion. Collaboration Partner with project management, engineering, legal, and other internal teams to create competitive proposals and win business. Representation Act as the face of MEPPI at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to elevate brand awareness and credibility. Expertise Apply product and market knowledge to formulate winning sales strategies and differentiate MEPPI in a competitive landscape. Reporting Prepare detailed and accurate sales reports, forecasts, and market updates for internal stakeholders. Research Monitor industry trends, publications, and tools to stay informed and uncover emerging opportunities. Database Management Maintain up-to-date market reports, contact databases, and CRM records. Professionalism Uphold MEPPIs positive, professional image through every customer interaction. What you’ll bring Education Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline. Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in sales within the rail transit, transportation, or rail manufacturing industry, or equivalent education and experience. Sales Acumen Advanced knowledge of commercial negotiation and technical sales processes. Communication Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills to engage internal teams and external customers effectively.
