Manager Inside Sales

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

What’s the job? The Inside Sales Manager leads a team of inside sales professionals including a lead generation supervisor to drive customer engagement, account growth, and loyalty for CertainTeed Exterior Product Sales (EPS). This role exists to enhance the customer experience, support key sales territories and support revenue growth through strategic inside sales leadership and cross-functional collaboration. The position plays a key role in aligning sales processes with business objectives by optimizing lead conversion, improving customer retention, and expanding product adoption. Through data-driven decision-making and team development, the Inside Sales Manager ensures consistent execution of sales strategies that contribute to long-term business success. Inside Sales Strategy & Execution 40% Oversee execution of sales campaigns and initiatives to drive product adoption and revenue growth. Ensure the team effectively communicates the value of the full product catalog and differentiates against competitors. Monitor sales performance and adjust tactics to meet or exceed targets. Develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with CertainTeed EPS business goals. Lead, coach, and develop a team of Inside Sales Representatives and a Lead Generation Supervisor. Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture through regular feedback, training, and performance management. Support career development and succession planning within the team. Promote collaboration and accountability across all levels of the inside sales function. Lead Generation & Opportunity Management 30% Oversee the lead generation function within inside sales, ensuring proactive outreach and qualification of new business opportunities. Support the Lead Generation Supervisor in managing a team focused on identifying and nurturing leads within the customer base. Ensure effective routing of qualified leads to the appropriate sales channels or product teams. Continuously improve lead generation processes, tools, and metrics to increase conversion rates and pipeline quality. Cross-Functional Collaboration 15% Partner with marketing, operations, and regional sales teams to align on customer engagement strategies and sales initiatives. customer insights and feedback to inform product development, service improvements, and campaign planning. Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute to company-wide efforts to enhance the customer journey. Reporting, Metrics & Continuous Improvement 15% Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales activity, lead conversion, and team productivity. Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sales processes and enhance customer outcomes. Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
