Job Summary Versa is looking foran experienced Area Vice President to expand our Enterprise accountbase. This is a hands-on role that will require extensive travelacross the Area. As well as identifying and working suitable enduser opportunities, candidates will be required to drive bothinterest and enablement with existing channel partners as well asidentifying and onboarding new partners (in conjunction with theChannels team). The selected candidate will have a successfulbackground in
LAN/WAN IT
Networking technologies, security and
SD-WAN/SASE.
Versa has an increasing portfolio of security centrictechnologies (NGFW/UTM/Cloud) so experience in this area is anadded benefit. Preference will be given to candidates who arefamiliar with selling high-value Enterprise solutions and specificexperience of selling Enterprise software is a bonus.
Responsibilities Recruit, hire and develop a high performingenterprise security and networking software sales teams, includingAccount Executives and Enterprise System Engineers Drive strategyand lead the Key Accounts team to consistently exceed quarterly andannual sales objectives Develop and lead the plan to significantlyincrease the number of Versa Networks senior executiverelationships with C-level executives in Key Accounts Developtrust-based relationships with leaders across the business,including Product & Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Operations,Sales Engineering and Customer Success Develop pricing and productcompetences in order to play leadership role in structuring,pursuing and winning large, complex deals Successfully develop andexecute across all disciplines of sales management, includingAccount/Territory/Opportunity planning, sales methodologyexecution, forecasting and professional development Be a coach tothe team in the execution of a solution-based sales processencompassing multiple groups within Global 2000 accountsProactively identify and address issues that inhibit growth in KeyAccounts and expand Versa Networks portfolio in each accountProactively develop key Channel Partner relationships at theexecutive level to ensure continued growth and over-achievementProactively plan and coach prospecting campaigns with team toensure pipeline opportunities relative to quota are achieved forstrong future revenue predictability Maintain a 180-day rollingforecast as well as building, managing and measuring pipeline 6-12months out Lead and coach all aspects of the evaluation program orproof-of-concept with team Understand competition in region andgeneral business climate Continually work on being self-taught asformal training in emerging technologies may not exist Understandand be an expert at SaaS and Cloud selling economics QualificationsDemonstrated track record of exceeding sales objectives leadingenterprise security and networking sales teams by winning newbusiness and driving substantial growth in Global 2000 accountsProven ability to build and drive sales teams in executing land andexpand sales strategies to predictably expand accounts, culminatingin being chosen as an enterprise standard Demonstrated competencein effectively engaging and developing value based relationshipswith Global 2000 C-level executives Minimum of 10-years leadershipexperience, including second line management, leading strategicsoftware, preferably Key Account SaaS, teams 10 years of experiencein security and networking industry with recent enterprise softwaresubscription experience Excellent interpersonal skills and theability to multitask, work cross-functionally within theorganization, and thrive in a collaborative environmentDemonstrated sales methodologies (e.g. MEDDICC, Strategic Sellingetc.) Experience working in a fast-paced, high growth softwarecompany where change is a constant Excellent written & verbalcommunication skills required. Excellent presentation skillsrequired Ability to learn new technologies quickly requiredIronclad integrity required.

Western United States -ideally California •Applicants must be authorized to work in the USThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment inCalifornia, Washington, or New York City is expected in the rangeof $350,000 to $420,000. A candidate’s specific pay within thisrange will depend on a variety of factors, including job-relatedskills, training, location, experience, relevant education,certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
