Summary ServiceMaster of Charleston (SMOC) is seeking a proactive and creative Business Development Associate to manage, grow, and support our insurance agent network and commercial client base while executing impactful marketing initiatives that drive revenue in our Disaster Restoration division. This is a hybrid role combining relationship-building and marketing—perfect for a self-starter with strong people skills, creativity, and attention to detail. Company Phone, Laptop, and Company Vehicle will be assigned for daily use. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. A drug screening and criminal background check will be performed for all applicants. Responsibilities Maintain business relationships with existing insurance agencies by making in-person visits on a 4-6 week cycle Acquire new business relationships with insurance agencies and commercial customers in the assigned territories Assist with planning and orchestrating marketing events, networking functions, and team outings across all SMOC divisions Attend networking events for groups affiliated with SMOC and relevant nonprofit organizations Qualifications 2+ years in marketing, sales, or business development (experience in insurance or restoration industry preferred) Outgoing personality with excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects Self-starter with creativity and attention to detail Willingness to travel locally and attend events outside of standard business hours Proficiency in
