Director,Business Development – Charleston, West VirginiaAs part of avibrant team based in Charleston, West Virginia, the Director,Business Development will be responsible for developing profitablenew business to support growth in the energy and chemicals marketwith a focus on regional customers as well as certain nationalaccounts. Will assist in the development of strategies andsupporting the implementation by leading regional developmentinitiatives. Will lead the development of proposals, valuepropositions, and commercial approaches.

Purpose:

We are looking fora Director, Business Development to create differentiated solutionsfor our clients, deploying through trusting relationships with ourcustomers, cultivated and stewarded through this role. This role isto actively seek new sales opportunities to support the capital andsustaining capital needs of our existing and new clients, and tooversee a portfolio of assigned customers, developing new businessfrom existing clients, and evaluating new client opportunities. TheDirector, Business Development has responsibility for drivingbusiness growth through market intelligence, client insights and anaccount management focus across the region to support the Energy,Chemicals, and Resources Sectors. As an account manager they willdevelop, maintain, and enhance customer accounts through strategicinsight and driving customer relationships, resulting in newcontracts and added value for our customers. The Director, BusinessDevelopment will liaise with cross-functional internal teams toimprove the entire customer experience and provide a line of sightfor our customers into full Worley solutions across their entireasset requirements and lifecycles. As part of a global sales team,the Director, Business Development leverages know-how andcapability from our global business to create solutions that arerecognized for innovation, value creation and meeting thecustomer’s needs for the future, within a world where expectationsare changing.

As a representative of our business, the Director,Business Development aligns and lives our values in the marketplacein all interactions with our customers, partners and internal teamsalike. A leader within in the sales team, they cultivate positiverelationships with other sales and operations leaders and workalongside technology, delivery and functions to harness ourpotential.

Through their account management focus, they remainactive in the delivery and operations of the business throughcustomer relationships to assure we deliver on our commitments toenable repeat business.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the growth and development of customer accountsthrough insight – driving rigor and bringing a complete Worleysolution. Responsible for development and management of salespursuits/relationships and development of accounts. Responsible for identification and pursuit of new clientrelationships. Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts,customer stakeholders and executive sponsors. Partner with Regional Management and sector representatives toidentify new developments within assigned markets and proposegrowth-related initiatives. Develop new business with existing customers and/or identifyareas of improvement to meet business objectives and targets. Develop and maintain relationships with assigned customeraccounts, internal operations, and sales team, and cultivate newcustomers as appropriate. Owns account plans and uses them as an engagement tool withinthe business. Leads development of sales strategies and win plans to growaccounts. Track and share customer relationship developments andprospects utilizing customer relationship digital platform. Lead pricing strategy development and pricing reviews, developsbid and proposal estimates and manages proposal budgets. Negotiate contracts in collaboration with and support fromoperations, legal and risk. Work with operations teams to assess resource availability andassemble project teams, across all of our lines of business. Enable strong relationships within and across the Worley Groupsuch that we can deliver all of our capabilities to ourcustomers. Consistently advocates and adheres to sales process andprocurement integrity guidelines. Coach and mentor sales personnel in the organization to broadenand strengthen the sales network. Represent Worley at marketing & conferences. Represent Worley to the broader market including technicalforums, industry associations, regional and government bodiesetc. Support other Worley Account Leaders as appropriate. Develop/Generate proposals, including Win Plans, ValuePropositions, and commercial offerings.

What you willbring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

A minimum of 15 years’ experience in Energy, Chemicals, andresources, or associated renewable industries and credibility withcustomers and key stakeholders, including business developmentexperience. Will consider candidates with Advisory, EPC orclient-based experience. Experience with/background of asset life cycle, in the energyand chemicals market. Chemicals industry and/or process engineeringexperience preferred. Track record of developing and implementing complex businessstrategy. Experience of successfully partnering with, and influencingclient executives, senior management, and other key industrystakeholders. Must possess a high level of commercial acumen, with an abilityto articulate benefits in the solutions created at a variety oflevels within the client organizations. Experience in both sales and projects and/or operationsessential. Alignment with Worley’s values, drivers, and commitment tocustomer service. Strategic thinker who can develop and implement complex pursuitplans. Proactively manage and collaborate across a multi-disciplinaryand multi-cultural organization. Able and willing to travel throughout region, approximately25%. Future focused and embracer of new technologies and bespokesolutions to address sustainability, the energy transition, digitalrealm and flexible commercial models of our clients.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.

Similar working level obtained through relevant job experience maybe accepted in lieu of degree level education.
