Philanthropic Services Associate Position Summary The Director of Advancement plays a vital role in driving the growth of Central Carolina Community Foundation’s assets and expanding its philanthropic impact. Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement, this role will strategically cultivate and nurture relationships with prospective and current donors, professional advisors, and corporate partners. The Director will identify and secure new fund opportunities, ensuring exceptional, concierge-level service that deepens engagement and fosters a legacy of giving. Key Responsibilities Asset Development and Growth Drive asset growth: Identify, engage, and steward new and prospective fundholders and their advisors. Present compelling opportunities to align their philanthropic goals with the Foundation’s diverse range of funds and services. Build and maintain a robust portfolio of potential fundholders, corporate partners, and donors. Develop and track individualized cultivation plans to ensure progress and successful engagement. Lead and expand the Foundation’s corporate giving program, cultivating strong relationships with corporate partners leading to increased financial support of the Foundation’s mission work and initiatives. Foster strong relationships with referral partners, including attorneys, CPAs, and financial advisors, to expand the Foundation’s network and opportunities. Fundholder and Partner Engagement Deepen relationships with existing Fundholders and corporate partners, providing expert guidance and personalized support to maximize the impact of their charitable funds. Maintain a portfolio of fundholders and corporate partners to engage and support in their giving. Seek referrals from existing fundholders, board members, and corporate partners. Create content for communication to Fundholders, professional advisors, community members, and corporate partners. Collaborate with team members to leverage opportunities, build awareness, develop value-added engagement, and facilitate meaningful engagement experiences. Additional Duties

  • Manage and mentor the Philanthropic Services Associate and provide timely feedback.
  • Represent the Foundation at community events and gatherings, serving as an ambassador.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. 5+ years of experience in fundraising, development, sales, customer service, or financial services. Managerial experience required. Demonstrated success in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts or complex client relationships. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with a demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and build rapport with a diverse range of individuals. Highly organized, results-oriented, and strategic thinker with strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills. Proficiency with CRM platforms and openness to adopting innovative technologies. Strong organizational, strategic thinking, and independent problem-solving skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle to use in performance of job. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
