Martin Commercial is seeking an experienced and strategic Business Development representative to drive growth, new partnerships and revenue expansion for our General Contracting business within the Southeastern US with a focus on Tampa, Dallas and Nashville markets. You will be responsible for the systematic expansion of our client network by introducing Martin to key stakeholders in the development and AEC community. This role involves developing market strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and cultivating relationships with Architects, Engineers and Developers. This role requires the continual solicitation of new clients through negotiated and bid list opportunities. This is a remote position ideally located in Dallas or Nashville. What You’ll Do Develop and execute strategies to identify and engage new clients through cold outreach, email campaigns, networking, and industry events. Build and manage a robust sales pipeline by targeting architects, engineers, developers, and other stakeholders. Lead the creation of compelling proposals, presentations, and pursuit strategies for new business. Manage budgets, targets, and performance metrics related to business development. Represent Martin Commercial at conferences, trade shows, and client meetings to strengthen brand presence and industry visibility. Host in-person engagements with key contacts to foster relationships and gather market intelligence. Provide leadership with regular reporting on BD activities, pipeline status, and revenue progress. Travel as needed to support client pursuits, networking events, and industry engagements. What You Bring 6+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic growth in the commercial construction sector . Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a passion for growth and client engagement. Confidence in engaging with high-level stakeholders and driving results in a competitive market.
