Job Description Summary:

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading and directing sales activities within the Divisions. The primary purpose of this position is to achieve revenue through effective leadership and represent BAKER as a leader in the industry ensuring maximum sales. The Director of Sales will develop a strong team of Regional Sales Representatives who are able to lead the sales efforts in their Regions of the. Essential Duties/Accountabilities Represent BAKER as a leader in the industry ensuring maximum sales and profitability. Directly manage sales activities for Regional Sales Representatives. Secure maximum market share and sales dollars consistent with established sales policies and programs. Develop market strategies and solicit new accounts and dealers. Establish targets for direct reports articulating a clear vision and direction to ensure targets are met Serve as a host at dealer meetings, conferences, incentive trips and all other similar functions. Attend, when necessary, training classes to acquire the skills to meet our customers’ needs and expectations and to keep abreast with technical developments and changes in product lines. Assist in resolving customer relations problems with both dealers and end users. Oversee the quality of customer service provided to dealers. Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts. Identify trends, opportunities and threats to core business. Travel with each Regional Sales Representative to achieve division goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 5-10 years of progressive senior level sales leadership with demonstrated results Proficiency in HVAC at a wholesale distribution level preferred but not required. 3-5 years of experience in residential and commercial contractor relationships. Proven success in managing and mentoring other sales employees while establishing sales goals. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to analyze sales and market data and provide real-time solutions. Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task. Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline. Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Ability to travel within division up to 80% of the time. Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and understanding English to ensure full compliance with safety standards, training, policies, and procedures.
