General Sales Manager at Mercedes-Benz of Music City We are seeking a dynamic and proven leader to join our award-winning team as General Sales Manager . This is a high-impact role responsible for driving retail sales performance, developing a results-driven team culture, and delivering an exceptional customer experience that reflects our brand and core values.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the New, Pre-Owned, and Finance departments to achieve volume, gross, and customer satisfaction targets Develop and execute monthly and annual sales forecasts, action plans, and team performance strategies Monitor sales performance, CEI results, and Mercedes-Benz Scorecard metrics to ensure continuous improvement Oversee inventory planning and aging, ensuring a healthy, well-balanced mix to support volume goals Coach and develop Sales and Finance Managers and the sales team through active leadership and regular reviews Ensure full compliance with legal standards, internal policies, and Mercedes-Benz USA programs Collaborate on marketing, promotions, and digital strategy to drive traffic and optimize conversion Maintain a customer-focused environment aligned with “Best of the Best” standards

Qualifications:

Proven success as a high-performing GSM or similar leadership role within luxury automotive retail – 2 years minimum Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills with a track record of building strong teams Deep knowledge of dealership operations including sales forecasting, desking, inventory management, and compliance High energy, disciplined, and aligned with a performance- and culture-driven environment Ability to lead by example, motivate a high-level team, and drive transformational results Requirements 2 + years of General Sales Management experience in luxury automotive sales. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to analyze market data and adjust strategies accordingly. Experience with customer relationship management.
