We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hotel Director of Sales to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue and increase market share for our hotel.

We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead our sales efforts, build meaningful client relationships, and drive business growth.
Position Overview:
The Director of Sales (DOS) is responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy, leading the sales team, and maximizing revenue across all market segments. This role will focus on corporate, group, government, SMERF, and leisure business for a full-service hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve hotel revenue goals Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, travel planners, and community partners Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and group targets Analyze market trends and competitor data to identify business opportunities Collaborate with the General Manager and Revenue Management to ensure optimal pricing strategies Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and community functions Ensure all sales activities align with IHG brand standards and hotel objectives
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of hotel sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role Prior experience with IHG systems (e.g., Opera, Delphi.fdc, IHG Concerto) preferred Strong knowledge of the local market and business climate Proven success in driving revenue and exceeding sales goals Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
