Job Description

Regional Sales Manager – Agent Partnerships Elspec North America Knoxville, TN 37902 This is a new position created with the desire of expanding and managing our interactions with our outside Agents and Distributors. The successful candidate will have experience working with, recruiting, and managing a nationwide team of sales agents. This will require the candidate to maintain accurate records, multiple sales funnels, competitive analysis, and onboarding materials to assist in their role. Must be able and willing to travel through North America including Canada and the Islands if required. Excellent speaking and organizational skills are required. Candidate will work with the current sales team to take ownership of existing Agents and distributors and document all information in the CRM system. Candidate will also search for and recruit new Agents based on the desired Agent Persona created by Management. Responsibilities & Key Tasks Collaborate with management to develop and execute a Market-based Business Development Plan to support both short and long range sales and revenue objectives for ELSPEC North America’s. Take ownership of existing agents and distributors that operate in the system/solutions sector. Maintain complete records of all leads and prospects, including source of lead, step in sales funnel, and contacts. Establish professional relationships with appropriate client personnel (purchasing, engineering, facilities, management, etc.). Manage current and future Authorized Representative and other partner companies to develop sales opportunities through these selling channels. Work with the Meter Sales Manager to share and collaborate Agents and Distributors that sell meters and system/solutions. Maintain thorough knowledge of current and future ELSPEC North America product and service offerings. Understand competitive environment and competitor offerings and develop and share this information through the proper channels. Maintain a consistent, accurate sales pipeline and forecast from Agents. Continuously update and maintain prospect database for pipeline management, daily activity and forecast data. Maintain all records in the company CRM. Assist in the identification and development of strategic relationships with market-related associations, organizations, trade groups and other industry influences to increase the company’s visibility, market share and product/service offerings. Monitor and maintain budgeted personal expenditures related to business travel, networking, and other business development programs to maintain corporate profit margins. Prepare various reports as required by management regarding current and prospective accounts. Participate in corporate sales meetings and product training sessions. Perform all assigned duties in the assigned sales territory with minimal supervision. Qualifications Four year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Business is desired. Must demonstrate an ability to inspire confidence and work collaboratively with team members, management, and peers. Minimum of 3 – 5 years of proven, successful sales experience with a solutions-oriented approach, ideally in the technical power metering marketplace. Good general knowledge of power distribution and power systems. Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with a high degree of energy and competitiveness balanced with integrity and a personable demeanor. Ability to understand and communicate complex business needs and propose corresponding technology-based solutions to your prospective clients. Proficiency with presenting and demonstrating technology solutions to individuals and groups. Strong work ethic with outstanding time management skills. Proven oral, written and group presentation skills. Demonstrated proficiency with automated office/sales tools and procedures including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word & Excel. Valid driver’s license with proof of insurability. Ability to travel (primarily within the assigned territory) at least 50% of time. Must live in Knoxville TN area and report to the Knoxville office on a daily basis.
