In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and assisting with product inquiries. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude will be essential in creating a welcoming environment for our shoppers. Duties Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, handling cash transactions and credit card payments. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns. Assist in product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding of items available for purchase. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and increase sales. Maintain an organized checkout area, ensuring that the cash register is stocked with necessary supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure stock levels are adequate and assist in restocking shelves as needed. Process returns and exchanges according to store policies while maintaining a positive customer experience. Skills Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Experience in retail sales, preferably within a grocery store environment, is a plus. Ability to perform product demos confidently, showcasing features and benefits to customers. Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
