The food runner ensures timely delivery of dine in and takeout orders while maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant. This position encompasses both of these areas and every FOH employee is required to do both. Responsibilities Keep stations restocked throughout the shift Prebus tables Bus and wipe tables immediately after guests leave Sweep throughout the shift to keep restaurant looking clean Polish large and small trays Open and close the restaurant following guidelines in a timely manner Do assigned sidework tasks throughout the shift Report any issues to the Lead or MOD on shift Assist coworkers in accomplishing duties when we are busy Place food orders in the appropriate bags and boxes Stay busy throughout shift without needing to be asked by management Maintain a hustle at all times Welcome customers kindly and help determine their orders Process customer orders and accurately input them into the POS Ensure cleanliness of workstations throughout the day and clean area before departure Physical Requirements Must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours Must be able to move quickly through the restaurant in order to ensure prompt service Must be able to lift 40 pounds •Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
