Crew Member/Cashier (part of Berkshire Hathaway) 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Meriden, CT 06450 Overview As a Crew Member, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service and quality food to our customers in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibilities will include food preparation, cash handling, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere and are passionate about providing excellent customer service. Duties Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards to ensure quality and consistency. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for cash handling and customer transactions. Engage with customers to promote menu items and upsell additional products. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas by following sanitation guidelines. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing job duties. Skills Proficiency in food preparation techniques and knowledge of food service practices. Strong upselling skills to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Experience working in a quick-service fast food restaurant or similar environment is preferred. Competence in cash handling, including basic retail math for transactions. Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order processing. Ability to maintain high sanitation standards in food handling and preparation areas. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts. Strong teamwork abilities with a focus on collaboration and communication.
