Team Member/Cashier Mini Munch Sliders 300 Oxford Road, Oxford, CT 06478 Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role is vital in ensuring a positive customer experience for our customers in our quick service fast food restaurant. The Cashier will handle cash and credit transactions, grill food to perfect temperature and quality and maintain a clean and organized checkout area, and assist with various tasks as needed. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed. Accurately process sales transactions using the Toast POS system or similar cash register systems. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision. Maintain knowledge of grocery store items, culinary products, and food safety standards to assist customers effectively. Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Manage time efficiently to minimize wait times for customers. Assist in bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas when applicable. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods. Cover the grill, fry and bake food items Clean grill, fryers, floors, pots and pans and overall cleaning Experience Previous experience in a grocery store, quick service fast food restaurant, or retail environment is preferred. Familiarity with retail math to ensure accurate transaction processing. 1-3 years of grill cooking experience Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus. Strong cash handling skills are essential. Excellent time management skills to handle peak hours effectively. A positive attitude and strong communication skills are necessary for providing exceptional customer service.
