Cashier 2.2 2.2 out of 5 stars 1520 South Suncoast Boulevard, Homosassa, FL 34448 Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers in a fast-paced retail environment. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed to enhance their shopping experience. Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling. Process sales transactions efficiently, including scanning items, applying discounts, and handling returns. Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to effectively assist customers and provide product demos when necessary. Communicate clearly with customers regarding their purchases and any inquiries they may have. Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow during peak hours. Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions accurately and efficiently. Experience Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash registers is advantageous. Basic understanding of cash handling procedures and retail math concepts. Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
