General Summary :

Provides food services for residents and employees. Responsible for providing a quality dietary experience by maintaining a pleasant and clean environment.

Position Responsibilities :

• Ring in all residents, guests and employees for any item to be purchased.
• Answer questions about products or services.
• Report any issues or concerns with equipment.
• Stock all condiments prior to each meal
• Stock all ice cream prior to lunch and dinner
• Follow the daily cleaning list as assigned by the manager. This is to be completed after each meal.
• Be polite and courteous when greeting residents/staff/guests in the dining room.
• All tables must be wiped down after each meal.
• Set-up each table after each meal.
• Close the register daily. All receipts must go to the manager’s office.
• Fill salt/pepper shakers weekly.
• Fill all condiments prior to each meal.
• Fill coffee prior to each meal and empty at the end of the shift.
• Clean the dining room and bathroom facilities before and after each meal.
• All other duties as assigned by the chef / manager/ supervisor.
• Understand and adhere to department policy and procedures.
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times
• Participate actively in department team and all staff meetings.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to understand and meet restaurant standards for health, safety, and excellence.
• Ability to remain alert and focused in an environment that is noisy and fast-paced.
• Ability to work effectively with kitchen staff.
• Detail-oriented and thorough.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions Prolonged periods walking or standing. Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 60 pounds at a time. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed. Must be able to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently. Must frequently immerse hands in water. Must be able to work in a hot and damp environment.
