The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle cash register operations effectively. The Cashier will also assist in maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for our customers. Responsibilities Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately to process customer transactions. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and addressing their inquiries. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring the accuracy of the cash drawer. Communicate effectively with customers regarding product information and promotions. Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining product displays to enhance sales opportunities. Conduct product demonstrations as needed to promote items and increase sales. Upsell products by suggesting additional items that complement customer purchases. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and surrounding environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred. Proficient in cash register operations and retail math skills. Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as it may enhance customer interactions. Experience in supervising or training new staff is a plus. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn about products and services offered.
