The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers, handling cash and electronic payments, and maintaining the integrity of the checkout process. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed during their shopping experience. Accurately process sales transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and care. Upsell products and promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all supplies are stocked. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations. Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles. Skills Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Experience with POS systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Ability to upsell products effectively to boost sales performance. Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone. Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
