Cashier’s Responsibilities:
Greeting customers when they enter the store Process all transactions accurately and efficiently Operate point-of-sale system and handle cash transactions Honoring coupons and discounts Keeping track of transactions and noting any discrepancies Processing product exchanges or returns Issuing refunds or store credit to customers who return products Ensuring store shelves are stocked Keeping checkout area tidy and sanitized Assisting with customer requests and inquiries Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors Update logs for inventory processing Work as an active team member to complete team goals Assisting Warehouse manger Cashier’s Requirements and Qualifications High school degree or equivalent Computer Skills Valid driver’s license Able to pass background check Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the shift Physically able to lift at least 50 pounds Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to work in a fast-paced environment Able to work independently Pays attention to detail and monitors the quality of inventory Highly organized and able to store items efficiently Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state Excellent verbal communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
