Cashier Nourish Food Service 1870 Pio Nono Avenue, Macon, GA 31204 Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle cash and credit transactions with precision. A positive attitude and a willingness to assist customers with their needs will be essential for success in this position. Duties Greet students warmly and provide assistance as needed. Accurately process sales transactions using cash registers or point-of-sale systems. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions securely and efficiently. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to effectively assist customers. Upsell products by suggesting complementary items during the checkout process. Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and monitoring stock levels. Conduct product demos as needed to enhance customer experience. Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally. Skills Basic computer skills. Must be able to use microsoft 365 Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Familiarity with retail math concepts for effective pricing and discounts. Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. Knowledge of grocery store operations is beneficial but not required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in retail sales or cashier roles is preferred but not mandatory.
