Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases. Upsell products and promote sales to enhance the shopping experience. Maintain knowledge of store promotions, products, and services to effectively assist customers. Stock shelves and ensure that the checkout area is well-organized and clean. Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance on best practices in customer service. Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and change giving. Assist in inventory management by reporting low stock levels to management. Qualifications Previous experience as a cashier in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred. Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Familiarity with cash register operations and cash handling procedures. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
