The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and the ability to handle transactions accurately in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers while ensuring smooth operations at the checkout. Duties Process customer transactions accurately using a cash register or point-of-sale system. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling. Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales. Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote new items. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and surrounding displays. Assist with inventory management by restocking shelves as needed and reporting low stock levels. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless operations during busy periods. Exhibit strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries over the phone. Qualifications Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required. Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Basic knowledge of retail math to assist with transactions and provide accurate change. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with cash registers or point-of-sale systems is advantageous. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn about products and sales techniques.
